Residents should be aware that people are falsely calling to collect donations for Officer Mike Vernon.

Florissant police are warning citizens of a scam regarding donations

In a news release, the police said that there are people calling residents claiming to be officers collecting monetary donations on behalf of Officer Vernon. One person has been asking residents to send the money to a Jefferson City address.Β 

Police want to reassure citizens that no phone solicitations are being made, and if they receive a phone call like this, they should call the .
