10 Holiday Foods We'll Miss

Like Cinderella nearing the end of the ball, these holiday products are on the verge of disappearing at the stroke of midnight New Year's Eve.

Some of the greatest things only come around once a year, and we're more than happy to wait for those items, too.

Easter Day always brings Cadbury Creme Eggs from the Easter rabbit; Halloween brings tons of candy, including the infamous Candy Corn; Valentine's Day brings the classic chocolate-covered strawberries, too.

These 10 Christmas-time foods only come around this time of the year, and we'll miss them until Christmas 2011:

  1. Starbucks Holiday Gingerbread - makes multiple gingerbread flavoried goodies this time of year. If you're really obsessed with one of their holiday coffee blends, you can always stock up on a dozen bags; however if you're in love with the moist and spicy gingerbread itself, buying 12 loaves will only make it look like you're trying to grow a new strain of bacteria in your fridge. If you really love the gingerbread in Starbucks pastry case, you can always try one of the copycat recipes available online.
  2. Aldi Orange Mints - Mint is a misnomer. These are wafer thin chocolates with a wafer thin orange infused filling. Like many things at Aldi, they taste much nicer than you'd expect.
  3. Silk Mint Chocolate Milk - This minty chocolaty delicious goodness should be sold yearround. Even if you're not lactose intolerant or a vegan, try a pint before from it disappears.
  4. Fudge Dipped Ritz Crackers - All mocking for this crazy product transformed into silent crunching once the box was opened. The first bite was for science. The last bite was five minutes later when we resorted to licking crumbs out of the box.
  5. Lifesavers Sweet Storybook - If you don't wake up with one of these in your stocking, your parents don't really love you.
  6. Pepperidge Farm Citrus Snowballs - Imagine a powdered sugar covered Greek wedding cookie married a sweet lemon custard then celebrated the honeymoon in your mouth.
  7. Peppermint Bark - Chocolate, mint and crunch combine into a childhood treat you can only find on the shelves of once a year. It's still as good as you remember.
  8. Hamentashen - Christmas might dominate the season, but these traditional Jewish fruit-filled shortbread cookies are absolutely delicious.
  9. Clementines - These big bags of thin skinned oranges show up on the shelves of around Thanksgiving and disappear in January. They won't let you buy just one, but that's OK because they're more addictive than Pringles.
  10. Spiced Mead and Wine - There's only one time of year when it's socially acceptable to actually heat wine - much less add a fist full of cloves, star anise and cinnamon sticks. Take advantage of it from ' shelves while you can.
