Several applications are now available to participate in this year's festival. Also, queen candidate applications are still being accepted.

With less than three months to go until the annual Valley of Flowers Festival, plans and preparations are well underway for its golden anniversary.

The Valley of Flowers Committee has selected the theme as “Valley of Flowers Celebrates 50 Years of Festivals.” The festival will be May 3-6 throughout the City of Florissant.

Kati Mahoney with the Valley of Flowers office said that she is still accepting a few applications for the Valley of Flowers Queen candidates. However, all materials have to be put together and be ready to roll by Friday.
