Springing in Line with Deals

Free concerts, a free Shakespeare play, free music classes and discounted groceries make the Patch list this week.

We're all watching our family budgets these days. Whether shopping with coupons or looking for two-for-one deals, we're taking advantage of all sorts of offers and savings that help us stretch our dollars.

This column will be dedicated to giving you great local deals each week that will help your family’s bottom line, and since we do the scouting for you, you can save time as well as money.

BSKI Children's Education Center - Kindermusik FREE Visiting Days
Deal: Families new to Kindemusik with babies and children through age three may sample music classes filled with percussion instruments, singing, dancing and musical story time at Children's Education Center  in Clayton. Visiting Days are also available at Des Peres Lodge and at the JCC in Chesterfield.
Good through: Visting classes are scheduled for Wednesday, May 11, 10 a.m., Friday, May 13, 9:30 a.m., and Saturday, May 14, 9 a.m.. Classes are approximately 45 minutes long. Reservations are required. 

Aldi
Deal: For those of you who have not tried Aldi, the deals are incomparable. Salad this week is $.39/ 12 ounce bag; grape tomatoes are $.99/10 ounce package; multicolored peppers are $.99/13 ounce package; cucumbers are $.29 each and mushrooms are $.79 per package. 
Good through: Saturday, May 14.

Deal:  Receive 20 percent off already discounted prices on wine, beer, cheese, packaged food and accessories. While supplies last, wines from Silver Oak, Cakebread, Ramey, Newton, Chateau Montelena and more are on sale.  Beers in stock are Stone, Bells, Schlafly, Boulevard and Mikkeller. This sale excludes hard liquor, liqueurs, prepared food and all sales are final.
Good through: Provisions on Olive will be open until Friday, May 13. The Wine and Cheese Place will be opening a new store on June 1 on New Ballas Road.

Westport Plaza Event
Deal: Free outdoor jazz and blues concert by Acoustik Element at Westport Plaza Village on Thursday, May 12, from 5 to 7p.m.
Good through: Scheduled date.

Romeo and Juliet a Stone Soup Shakespeare Production 
Deal: Stone Soup Shakespeare performs Romeo and Juliet at Tower Grover Park for FREE at the Sons of Rest Shelter. Stop by in Creve Coeur and pick up goodies for a picnic. 
Good through: Performance will be Friday, May 13, at 6:30 p.m..
