Join the Social Media Craze

While not everyone is on social media, we want everyone to get into it.

Our Facebook numbers continue to swell! We reached more than 455 “likes” this week, and we’re aiming for the 460 mark by the end of next week.

For Twitter, we’ve got more than 655 followers and growing.

Thanks to all who’ve recently liked or followed us, and if you haven’t yet, what are you waiting for?

Now we’ve given you the rundown of why you should like us on Facebook and Twitter, but what about those who aren’t on social media at all.

I’ve heard it all – it’s too complicated or it’s not interesting, but there’s a lot you can get out of using social media.

I’ve jotted down a few ideas, and here’s what we came up with.

  • Catch up with family and friends: As many have heard, Facebook and Twitter are a great place to find those family members and friends who you’ve lost contact with throughout the years. Both sites allow you to interact and see through photos, videos and status updates what’s been happening with them.
  • Like and Subscribe to Celebrities or Shows: Just as you can like or follow our pages, there’s several TV shows and celebrities that you can follow on Twitter or like on Facebook. Get updates on shows from The Biggest Loser to Desperate Housewives.
  • Get engaged with your local community and news: If you’re not interested in Keeping Up with the Kardashians on social media, you can really keep up with the community or St. Louis. Follow your favorite news station or news personality or organization. You never have to wonder what’s going on with anyone because it’s all on social media.
  • Live interaction: One of the best parts about Facebook and Twitter, to me, is that you can chat or have a long conversation with people right there. That way if you have a burning question you’ve wanted to ask someone, you can probably get answers fairly fast.

Granted, there are some people who might not be keen to social media. That’s understandable, but if you’ve toyed with the idea, then you should join today (and like us while you’re at it).
