Bringing Social Media Over to the "Patch" Page

We want you to join the discussion on Facebook and Twitter.

Our Facebook and Twitter has been abuzz this week with conversation, and we owe a part of that to you all.

This past week, we saw a huge rise in our Facebook “likes” with close to 20 joining our page, and we hope to continue to see more.

This past week, everyone gave their opinion for our dining debate series pertaining to the Best Chinese Food. Although, the Florissant pick, No. 1 China, lost this week, we’ll surely win the dining war.

We asked about people’s interest in seeing a forum/live chat event with the candidates on the April 3 ballot, and we’ve heard that people would love to see something like this. (Feel free to chime in on what you would like to see below.)

We also saw a number of people “like” our story regarding the Ferguson-Florissant Board of Education considering a 100 percent tobacco free policy.

While it’s great to see so many comments about our stories, don’t forget you can share information about local events, organizations, etc. on our Facebook page as well as on the site.

Getting into the Twitter-speak

In Twitterverse, we continued to see a rise in regional followers, such as @YourMSD and @kathleen_berger. But we want to make sure that Florissant folks are getting into the mix, so make sure to follow us @FlorissantPatch.

Just like Facebook, we provide updates and news through our tweets, but we also pose questions and retweet information about Florissant and St. Louis County.

So no matter if you’re new to Twitter or a hunter for info, check us out on Twitter.
