Florissant Offering Flu Shot Clinic October 8

Depending on the severity of the outbreak, seasonal flu infects between 15 and 60 million Americans each flu season.

Seasonal flu and pneumonia shots will be given at the James J. Eagan Center on Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

More than 200,000 people are hospitalized every year due to flu-related complications and around 36,000 of them die, according to the St. Louis County Health Department website.

TIP HealthCare will administer the shots with professional licensed nurses and staff. There is no charge if your primary insurance is Medicare Part B, Health Alliance or Coventry.
There is a $25.00 charge for all others – cash or check only.

The Florissant Senior Office Staff & Florissant Senior Commission is sponsoring the clinic; however, you do not have to be a senior citizen and you do not have to be a Florissant resident to benefit.
Call the Florissant Senior Office at (314) 839-7605 for more information.
