DESCRIPTION:The St. Louis County Police Department North County Precinct 
 will host a Citizen Police Academy at the Black Jack Fire Protection Dis
 trict House\, 5675 North Highway 67\, Florissant\, Missouri 63034. The c
 lasses will be held on seven consecutive Tuesdays\, beginning on March 5
 \, 2013\, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM\, with graduation on April 16\, 2013.\
 nChief of Police Timothy Fitch stated\, "The Citizens Police Academy cre
 ates the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with the officers who ser
 ve and protect your community. Participants learn about what steps they 
 can take to avoid becoming the victim of a crime and they get an inside 
 look at how the County Police Department operates. Classes are instructe
 d by law enforcement professionals in various fields."\nThe Citizens Pol
 ice Academy is open to all St. Louis County residents and is free of cha
 rge. Advanced registration is required and seating is limited. To obtain
