Every single year, I put up a tree, decorate windows and throw on some of my favorite Christmas tunes while working. Thanksgiving Day always seems to run on a special clock for my family and me. It's not so much that we follow a specific tradition together every year, but we're definitely creatures of habit. By 9 a.m., my mom is up and about in the kitchen cooking the turkey by whatever name. That's right, we name the turkey a couple of days beforehand every year, from Tony to Tina. This year, it's Terrell. By noon, I'm usually up and helping with making the dressing for the turkey as well as making rolls. One of my uncles also joins us for conversation and catching up.
