When Will the Former Value City Building Development Open?
The new shopping center looks to be almost complete with stores starting to slate their openings.
As the vacant Value City building becomes a distant memory for Florissant, the new stores have people clamoring for an opening date.
Late last month, PetCo moved from its original location at 765 N. Highway 67 to the new development and held a soft opening for the store.
Florissant Economic Development Director Bob Russell said that the other stores, including Ashley Furniture Homestore, Ulta, five Below, Chipotle and Panda Express, would be opening in the next couple of months.
Guest Relations Representative Nitar Loha of Panda Express Corporation confirmed that its Florissant restaurant is scheduled to open Nov. 15. On the five Below website, it lists the Florissant store as opening Nov. 2.
The Ashley Furniture Homestore website simply lists the store as coming soon. TRi Architect representative Rich Obertino confirmed that the construction for the project has been completed, so it’s simply up to the stores to finish the interior design.

Is Michaels moving in there or not? They have their sign out front of the new shopping center saying they are going to be tenants. The store across from Florissant Meadows shows no sign of closing.

Yes, Michael's will be moving, too. We haven't heard a confirmed date, but it will probably be in the next couple of months.

I was in there last week, and they told me they were moving after the first of the year.
