Donald Trump made his big announcement about President Obama Wednesday. Do you think it will affect the election?

With questions still arising about President Obama's country of birth and his college history, Donald Trump has made the President an offer, and the offer expires on Oct. 31, just days before the election.

In his video, Trump asks the President to be more transparent and release his college transcripts and passport information. If he does, Trump said he'll write a $5 million check to the charity of Obama's choice.

In August, an editorial in The Week posed four theories about why the outcry for President Obama's college transcripts had replaced "birtherism." One of the theories was that it was simply a way to distract from Mitt Romney's tax returns.

Jack Cashill's opinion piece on WND.com on Aug. 15 asked "Why did Obama seal his transcripts?" Cashill stated the President could not have graduated with honors, as he stated to a biographer, as that would have been noted in the graduation program.

Unfortunately $10 million won't get the records released. The other theory is Obama received a foreign student aid as Barry Soetoro which would show up on his transcripts. NOT MY THEORY........JUST PASSING CRAP ON.

Donald Trump is an embarrassment to all Americans. He should shut up and go away before he causes the Republican Party irreparable harm.

Obama will leave this alone, it's another bit of fame for the Donald, nothing more. Pathetic, really.

I personally feel Donald has a valid point. He also has the money to make his feelings known. I don't see the need for the offer of money thou these items should be public knowledge when you are in a political position. Obama is a fraud to many people are afraid to say it because they fear they will appear racist. Yet if it were a white candidate the public would be all over it. Obama has played the race game well he has tricked the whites and the blacks into voting for him.

I have never heard of a president releasing college records of any kind. During the course of almost any Trump interview, one hears him saying "amazing" incessantly, and "I'm smart because I went to the Wharton School of Business. Smart people don't have to remind others how smart they are. Perhaps, we should look into his educational records? His narcissism prevents him from seeing how he embarasses himself with these antics.

I think Donny did this for self promotion. However, some of you hypocrites here need to go back 8-12 years and remember how you begged for GW's transcripts, got them and then called him an idiot!

The double standard on the left is simply amazing.

This seems like a good case of "manifest destiny," aka American arrogance...Does it *truly* matter? I mean, how long do we have to drag this out? I feel like I've been hearing about Obama not being a US citizen for so long...and at this point, I'm entirely sick of it. Is a person more qualified to run a country if they were born there? I mean, really...let's not go back to the "divine order" of the Elizabethian era...

You do realize that Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution requires the President to be a natural born citizen, right? Our Founding Fathers thought it might be a good idea to be a little skeptical of foreign born folks leading the country. Maybe they were on to something?

Of course I realize that. I've read the Constitution several times. I'd like to point out the fact, however, that our founding fathers were foreign born. George Washington, president of the United States was NOT born on US soil....and yet, he's one of the most hailed presidents in our entire history. As a matter of fact, many, many of our early presidents weren't born on American soil and they left behind incredible legacies, doing far better than some of the presidents who WERE born on US land.

Not saying Barry is or isn't a citizen, just answering the above. I guess I'm old fashioned, but I believe the Constitution states that you must be a US citizen. Then again, those who don't care also don't care that the past and current administrations are using said Constitution as toilet paper.

Thanks for keeping us up to date on the Constitution Steve. Not that you are saying Obama is or isn't a citizen. Har har.

Ah the Birthers never disappoint.

This would have much more fun if he'd asked Romney for his last 10 years of tax returns also and split the 5 million between each ones favorite charity.

I wish he would just stop already. This is clearly nothing more than a publicity stunt. It is ridiculous, a waste of time, and a distraction from real issues.

I would donate $5 million to Trump's favorite charity if he would pose in public, and for photos, with his hair soaking wet. Hate to see how bad that would look, but that this how absurd this offer is. Doesn't he think that if Obama was not a natural born citizen that the GOP would have trumpeted this and he would have never been sworn in? Birthers are an embarrassment to all.

Christian Children Homes in North Alabama could really use the $5 million. Obama, if you have nothing to hide, why not give Mr. Trump the information he requested and benefit children of abuse and neglect?

Tomorrow is the deadline, and the fate of needy children depends on Mr. Obama's timely response to Mr. Trump's offer. "Pure religion, and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and the widows in their affliction, and to keep one's self unspotted from the world." [James 1:27].

I am begging you, Mr. Obama, take advantage of Mr. Trump's generous offer. Provide him with the requested information by the deadline so that he will contribute $5 million to Christian Children Homes, 6372 Co. Rd. 63, Florence, AL

You ahould ask Mr. Trump to donate to the money to them even if Mr. Obama doesn't take him up on his offer. Or ask Mr. Romney to ask Mr. Trump if he shows his last 10 years of tax returns if he can have the money to give to them.
