Valley of Flowers: Family Knight is Today's Focus
The golden celebration kicks off with a big event for families.
The Knights of Columbus grounds will be home to this year's Family Knight.

The first day of the 50th Annual Valley of Flowers festival kicks off tonight with Family Knight at the Knights of Columbus grounds.
This night is special for families and all rides cost one ticket, and there will be family meal deals available.
The grounds open tonight at 4:30 p.m. and close at 8:30 p.m.

Just wanted to say when they made Family Night a couple years back, it was one of the best decisions ever made for Valley Of Flowers :) I also think it tamed the entire weekend down a little and love the focus on family, and ability to save money as well. Being a Florissant resident my whole life, years ago I never would have thought I'd be able to bring my little kids to the carnival like my parent's did for us becuase of the craziness, fights, focus on alcohol, etc. If anyone hasn't tried Family Night on Thursday night you really should. It has the most comfortable, family, young feeling. We have been attending family night since the 1st year it was part of VOF, and as long as we don't drive by the carnival too much the rest of the weekend, that's the only night we go! Can't beat the prices or the feel of Family NIght :)
