Florissant Police Arrest Three for Wing Stop Robbery
Police said they stole $2,000 from the restaurant on Sept. 6.
Police said three people robbed the Wing Stop in Florissant Sept. 6, stealing about $2,000.
The following people were charged with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action in the incident:
- Arion Bateman, 17, of the 3900 block of Sims Avenue in St. Ann;
- Erica Nowden, 27, of the 4100 block of Esseldale in St. Ann;
- Charles Tompkins, 19, of North County.
Bateman also was charged with first-degree burglary and a second count of armed criminal action.
Florissant Police said that one of the accused said Tompkins drove the car while Bateman and Nowden went to the rear of Wing Stop at 8222 North Lindbergh Blvd. and knocked on the door. When the door was opened, they forced their way in. Bateman had a handgun and demanded money, police said.
An employee filled a bag held by Nowden with about $2,000 from cash registers, according to the report.
Bond was set at $100,000 for each of the defendants, cash only.

There is just no fear of consequences, no morals, and no dignity with people anymore. I used to not blame parents as much as I do now. It's almost everyday you hear about a 15-17 year old kid, making the most evil decisions. In most cases, if you were brought up with the understanding of consequence and a general teaching of right and wrong, you're going to realize "Oh, I guess I have to work hard for what I want in life", or "Oh, I can't have everything I want in life"....NOT "OH, I guess I'll TAKE whatever I want in life w/o any regard to laws- or to any person's life that gets in my way". Disgusting. Ok, I'm done with my rant.....ha

@Andrea,your absolutely right about everything you said cause as a mother of 4 adult children i had to teach them that nothing in life is free and that if you want aomething in life you have to work hard to get it,and yes i am a single parent and i hate it when parents use the excuse of i can't do anything with a teenage child. Thats bs if i can do it they can too.

I think we should stop coddling criminals. If they choose that path in life, society should deal with them swiftly and harshly. I'm tired of having to watch my back!
