Teen Pleads Guilty to Setting Five Fires in Paddock Hills

The Florissant teenager is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 16.

Khadeem Ratcliff, 18, of the 1600 block of Jodphur Drive in Florissant, pleaded guilty Oct. 5 to five counts of knowingly burning or exploding.

The charges included setting fire to at least three vehicles and a clothing storage box:

  • A gray, 1991 Chevrolet van in the 1600 block of Gallop Lane on April 25;
  • A red, 2010 Ford pickup truck in the 1800 block of Banstead Drive June 4;
  • A clothing storage box owned by the Salvation Army in the Paddock Hills Plaza shopping center June 6;
  • A gold, 1998 Toyota car in the 2400 block of Stirrup Lane June 6.

Ratcliff is scheduled for sentencing Nov. 16 by St. Louis County Circuit Court Judge David L. Vincent. The class D felonies carry a possible sentence of up to four years in prison.
