Students Can Get Free Meals During the Summer
Ferguson-Florissant District offers students breakfast, lunch during its summer school program.
For those students in the Ferguson-Florissant School District in need of a free meal, the district has a wonderful opportunity for students.
The district’s summer school program will be hosting free meals during its summer school program.
Several schools in the Florissant area will be participating, including:
- Wedgwood Elementary School, breakfast and lunch, May 29-June 29
- Parker Road Elementary School, lunch (11 a.m.-noon) and afternoon snack (2-2:15 p.m.), June 4-July 27
- McCluer North High School, breakfast (7:10-7:25 a.m.) and lunch (10:50 a.m.-noon), June 4-29
- Mark Twain Student Support Center, breakfast (7:30-7:50 a.m.) and lunch (11:30-11:50 a.m.), June 4-29
The United States Department of Agriculture’s Seamless Summer Option, according to the press release, funds open site feeding. The program cost $37,000 last year and the district has participated in the program for the past five years.
