St. Louis Post-Dispatch Editorial Supports Gina Walsh in Senate Race
The editorial board gives Walsh the edge in the state Senate District 13 race.
With Redditt Hudson and former state representative Gina Walsh facing off in the Aug. 7 primary next week, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch editorial board has backed Walsh in the Senate District 13 race.
According to the Aug. 1 editorial:
“Whoever replaces Sen. Tim Green, D-Spanish Lake, has big shoes to fill. For eight years, Mr. Green was workers' best friend in the Senate, standing up for unions, fighting back Republican attempts to diminish their effectiveness and successfully fending off the worst proposals, such as right-to-work bills.
“Gina Walsh, 55, a longtime union member in the insulation trade, is in this tradition. She carried on the workers' fight as a four-term state House member. She knows how the Capitol works. She will stand up for workers and represent her constituents well.”
Walsh has received a number of endorsements during the past few months, including the Missouri AFL-CIO, the Greater St. Louis Labor Council and Missouri National Education Association.

True that Senator Tim Green will be hard to replace although, working with Rep. Gina Walsh over the years makes you understand she IS the best selection for the Missouri 13th Senate seat. Also, Tim and Gina have ALWAYS had the best interest of North St. Louis County in their heart...and that speaks volumes to me!
