Sauget Man Charged With Sodomizing Child in North County
Police said the man told a detective, "It's a possibility this is true."
Steven Keel, 35, of Sauget, IL, was charged with four counts of statutory sodomy. St. Louis County Police said he had sexual intercourse with a child four times between Oct. 1, 2010 and Dec. 31, 2011. The child was between 11 years and 13 years old at the time.

A man faces criminal charges after police said he molested a child between 11 and 13 years old in North County.
Steven Keel, 35, of Sauget, IL was charged Friday with four counts of first-degree statutory sodomy.
St. Louis County Police said Keel had sexual intercourse four times with a child between Oct. 1, 2010 and Dec. 31, 2011 in Glasgow Village. The child was between 11 and 13 years old at the time, police said.
Police reported that Keel initially denied the allegations, but later told a detective, “It’s a possibility that this is true.”
Bail was set at $100,000, cash only.
