Police: Florissant Man Beaten in Bar Fight Has Died

Randy Feger passed away Tuesday evening.

The Florissant man who was beaten in a bar fight over a washers game has died, according to a report from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Randy Feger, a 44-year-old father-of-four, had been in critical condition since the Nov. 8 incident in which he and a Hazelwood man got into a physical confrontation at Pirates Cove Bar & Grill during the washers tournament being held behind the bar.

Feger was taken off life support last week and continued to breathe on his own, though he reportedly remained in a mostly unresponsive state, leaving his family, friends and the community hoping for a miracle.

But Feger passed away on Tuesday evening. According to a post from Florissant Patch reader Don Houston on our Facebook page, Feger’s cousin posted on Facebook that he passed away today.

An anonymous tipster told Florissant Patch that Feger died around 5 p.m.

One suspect has been arrested and released, but police say they have been in contact with him as the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s office investigates the case.

The Hazelwood West Alumni organization is spearheading a fundraiser to help Feger’s family as they deal with the financial burdens they’re sure to face. Find out how to donate.

Thanks so much for your comment, Khatrina. Here's hoping they are able to hold on to each other during this horrible time. :( I was truly hoping they'd get a miracle.
