Convicted Felon Busted with Handgun in Florissant

Florissant Police said the man had a felony conviction in 1993, making it illegal for him to own a firearm.

 

A Florissant man was charged with illegally possessing a firearm because he was convicted of a felony in 1993.

Jesse Henderson, 44, of the 600 block of Materdei Lane in Florissant, was charged with illegally possession a weapon.

Florissant Police responded to a disturbance call at Henderson’s home, and they discovered a Hi Point .380 cal handgun in the house.

Henderson was convicted of sexual assault in 1993.

Bond was set at $50,000.

I'm glad to see the bonds are being set so high. Now if we could just get more reasonable sentences.

Maybe you don't understand how bonds work?, He'll Pay 10% of the 50k and be walking the streets. Chances are he wont go to court if released, then will be picked up 5 - who knows how many years later for similar charges.
