Notice on the map how most of the burglaries take place just off of a busy thoroughfare for a quick escape. Those who reside closest to a major street should use additional precautions to prevent burglary. Due to the depressed economy many more are tempted to steal and to do so the easiest way without getting caught. Now would be a good time to get to know your neighbors and enlist their watchful support.

The Mayor said in his letter in the paper we just received, how " the City Council and Administration has placed a priority on commercial and residential property maintenance and have taken legislative and funding steps to enforce housing codes." Evidently they find spying on us a much better use of their time, energy and money than strengthening our police force in order to stop the thefts of property and vehicles. ; (
