Florissant Patch readers have spoken, and we’ve tallied the votes of our first “Best of Florissant” series.

More than 500 votes across eight categories were cast. Some races proved quite tight, while others proved to be an easy win.

Last week, Florissant Patch editor Aja Junior hit the streets to share the good news with winners.

de.lish Cheesecake Bakery and Cafe owners Jeff and Kris Mullersman happily accepted their award for Best New Business.

“We’re working to serve the best possible food we can,” Jeff Mullersman said. “We believe in quality before profit.”

Just around the corner and down the road, Stems Florist owner Jenny Thomasson proudly received her certificate for Best Old Town Business.

“Thanks so much for the recognition,” she said. “We’re really proud to be in Old Town and promote small Florissant businesses.”
