The suspect also is charged with burglary, pointing handgun at woman.
A North County man was charged by prosecutors Friday with burglary, domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon and unlawfully possessing a weapon.
According to a St. Louis County Police report, Antonio Haymon, broke into his wife’s Pasadena Hills apartment in North County and attacked her March 25. Haymon is from the 3000 block of Oriental Drive in unincorporated North County, just north of Florissant.
The report states that Haymon tore off her clothes, hit her in the head, face, chest and arms and drug her by her hair into the bedroom. She escaped and ran into the living room, where Haymon pointed a handgun at her.
There was a knock at the door, and Haymon escaped out the back, police say in the report. On April 19, St. Louis County Police arrested Haymon in the 100 block of North Harvey Avenue in Ferguson. Police said he had a .22 cal Mondial handgun. He has a 2003 conviction for robbery and is prohibited from having the weapon.
