MoDOT Cancels I-270 Closures, Rock Blasting For Rest of Week
Modot is canceling the daily road closures on I-270 between Manchester and Big Bend roads in West County.
The Missouri Department of Transportation announced Wednesday morning it is canceling the daily Interstate 270 lane closures so crews can can complete survey work in the blasting region.

I-270 between between Manchester and Big Bend roads was being closed two times a day, Monday through Friday for rock blasting as part of the I-270 road widening project that is underway from Manchester Road to I-44.
The portion of I-270 near I-44 has remained open during this portion of the construction.

As previously reported by Patch, MoDOT has been closing both northbound and southbound sections of I-270 for up to 15 minutes at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. during weekdays.
The cancellation of the closures is for this week only and closures and rock blasting work will resume at 10 a.m., Monday, according to a MoDOT news release.
The closures are then set to continue weekdays throughout the summer.
