Ferguson Man Faces 16 Sodomy Charges in Berkeley
The incidents involved a child under 12 years old three to five years ago.
A Ferguson man was charged in St. Louis County Circuit Court Wednesday with having deviate sex with a child under the age of 12 from April 1, 2007 through Sept. 30, 2009.
Dzevad Karabegovic, 25, is charged with 10 counts of first-degree statutory sodomy and six counts of attempted statutory sodomy. A Berkeley Police detective said Karabegovic lived in Berkeley at the time of the incidents. Court records list his Berkeley address in the 8700 block of Kathlyn Drive.
The website case.net lists Karabegovic’s address in the 900 block of Second Street in St. Charles. A Berkeley Police detective said he could not release Karabegovic’s most recent address in Ferguson.
Bond was set at $75,000.
Karabegovic was convicted in 2010 of stealing in St. Charles and still is on probation on that charge.
