Man Charged With Handgun, TV Thefts in Burglary

Florissant Police said the man also stole two video game systems from a Florissant home in January.

 

A man faces criminal charges for stealing a handgun and two flat-screen televisions from a Florissant home in January.

Shawon Jones, 18, of the 6100 block of Evergreen in Berkeley, was charged Aug. 21 with second-degree burglary, stealing a firearm and felony stealing.

Florissant Police said Jones broke into a home in the 100 block of Calbreath Court between 6:30 and 8:50 p.m. Jan 16 and stole a .38 cal revolver, two flat-screen TVs and two video game systems. The stolen property was valued at more than $1,000.

Bond was set at $17,500.
