Man Charged in Strong-Arm Robbery in Florissant

Suspect is accused of entering car on Derhake and forcibly taking money, cell phone and iPad from driver.

A St. Louis County man is facing second-degree robbery charges after an April 4 incident.

Joshua Cosby, 19, of unincorporated North County, is accused of entering the victim’s car in the 1900 block of Derhake Road and hitting the driver in the face and stomach. He took the victim’s keys, money and cell phone, according to a report.

The report states he then hit and threatened to force the driver to turn over his iPad. The victim identified Cosby by description and by describing tattoos on his face.

Cosby was on supervised probation for receiving stolen property.

He is being held at St. Louis County jail. Bond was set at $20,000.
