Man Charged With Florissant Officer Shooting Has Day in Court
Brian L. Cannon will have his pretrial conference Tuesday morning.
Brian Lamont Cannon Jr, 20, has been charged with assault in the first-degree of a law enforcement officer, armed criminal action and second-degree burglary.

The man arrested and charged for shooting Officer Mike Vernon on Memorial Day will face his first day in court Tuesday morning.
Brian Lamont Cannon Jr. will have his pretrial conference Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Louis County Courthouse.
Cannon was arrested and charged soon following the shooting incident of Officer Vernon more than one month ago.
Vernon continues his rehabilitation and a number of fundraisers continue to be held to aid him and his family.

Seriously that's your boyfriend? Hoping that was a JOKE!! If not, you may need to go find a new boyfriend who doesn't attempt to kill a police officer or anyone because he was caught stealing and in someone's house property that wasn't his! Not sure why your so surprised or maybe you never knew him, or still hoping your joking, because his criminal past was all leading up to this. As far as his court date, trial, whatever happens he needs to be locked up for life! No chance of parole! He had his chance, heck, chances to get a job, to be a better person, respect other's lives, and their materials that THEY worked hard for. This officer did NOT deserve this and now has to leave with possibly never walking again, and all of the other issues this has caused him and his family. My heart and prayers still go to Officer Vernon, and family. In closing, and on a happier note, i'm prouder than before this to be a resident in Florissant!! We've come together as a community to raise funds for him and his family uniting in a way that can only better this city!! It may take awhile but this disrespectful criminals WILL realize this isn't the place to come to looking to commit crimes, and get the *ELL out! Otherwise, like this human have fun in prison!
