The Hazelwood School District Board of Education also approved a rate for the Special School District of St. Louis County to lease facility space.
The Hazelwood School District (HSD) Board of Education gathered Tuesday in front of a host of staff, parents and students to work through district business.
On the agenda were more than a few items on which the board had to vote.
The board approved a small contract with F.H.E. Service, LLC. The contract is a maintenance agreement regarding a sealing machine that folds and fills out checks and W2 forms. The fee for this is $695.
The district also approved Kronos Maintenance and Support for a contract worth $68,933. Diana Gulotta, assistant superintendent for communications said Kronos is the software the district uses to pay employees.
"This is an annual renewal of maintenance and support for the software," she said.

The board of education also approved replacing a fuel pump at the district's transportation facility at the administration building. Neumayer Equipment Co., was awarded the bid. The approved bid amount is $17,860.
Hazelwood West Early Childhood Center will also get a few changes thanks to this week's board meeting. Windows will be soon replaced at the building.
"These are windows that are old and leak at West ECE," Gulotta said.
Caldwell Contracting Co. was awarded the bid for $82,790.
