HSD Gets Creative with Summer School Locations Due to Bond Measure Construction

Proposition H construction and renovations force the district to combine summer school locations for all grade levels.

 

Construction work at a number of schools in the Hazelwood School District (HSD) will cause a number of relocations and office changes this summer.

The construction work is due to Proposition H, which voters approved in 2010 for a $120 million, no-tax-rate-increase bond issue for facility updates.

Summer School Personnel Moves

Due to work needed on new HVAC systems, Barrington Elementary office personnel will be relocated to Jury Elementary, Grannemann Elementary office personnel will be relocated to Keeven Elementary and Jana Elementary office personnel will be relocated to Brown Elementary.  

Due to other construction, the following office relocations will take place: Larimore Elementary office personnel will be relocated to Twillman Elementary, Lawson Elementary office personnel will be relocated to Lusher Elementary, Townsend Elementary office personnel will be relocated to Arrowpoint Elementary and Walker Elementary office personnel will be relocated to Cold Water Elementary.  

Elementary School Sessions

Multiple elementary schools will offer summer school together.

Armstrong and Garrett Elementary summer school will jointly be held at Garrett.

Arrowpoint and Townsend Elementary will jointly be held at Arrowpoint.

Barrington, Jamestown and Jury Elementary will jointly be held at Jury.

Brown and Jana Elementary will jointly be held at Brown.

Cold Water and Walker Elementary will jointly be held at Cold Water.

Keeven and Grannemann Elementary will jointly be held at Keeven.

Larimore and Twillman Elementary will jointly be held at Twillman.

Lawson, Lusher and McCurdy Elementary will jointly be held at Lusher.

McNair and Russell Elementary will jointly be held at Russell.

Middle School Sessions

Some middle schools will offer summer school together.

Hazelwood Central Middle and Hazelwood North Middle will host summer school at Hazelwood Central Middle.

Hazelwood Southeast Middle and Hazelwood East Middle will host summer school at Hazelwood Southeast Middle.

Hazelwood West Middle and Hazelwood Northwest Middle will host summer school at Hazelwood West Middle.

High School Sessions

Some of the high schools will offer summer school at varying locations.

Hazelwood East High will host summer school at Hazelwood East High.

Hazelwood Central High will host summer school at Hazelwood North Middle.

Hazelwood West High will host summer school at Armstrong Elementary.
