Florissant VFW 4105 Hosts Sept. 11 Anniversary Event

Citizens, veterans are invited to attend a special celebration to remember the victims of 9/11.

 

VFW Post 4105 will host a Sept. 11 anniversary event Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the post’s meeting room. The celebration will mark the 11th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center towers and Pentagon.

Mayor Tom Schneider is the invited featured speaker for the event.

All citizens, especially veterans and veteran service organizations, are invited to attend the public event in remembrance of those who lost their lives and gave their lives that day.

According to a press release, the Florissant, Hazelwood and St. Louis County police department as well as the Florissant Valley and Black Jack fire departments were invited to the event.

In 2001, police officers of the Florissant Police Department went to ground zero of the World Trade Center to help with patrols of the city.

The event will be held at the post meeting room at 410 rue St. Francois.
