On Sept. 19, Florissant Police officer Mike Vernon will be honored with "Mike Vernon Night at the Ballpark," and there are tickets for sale for the game.

The Florissant Police Department is selling tickets that are regularly $53 for $25 each to the public.

Officer Mike Vernon will be present at the game to be recognized before the start of the game as well as throw out the first pitch. Officer Vernon was injured in the line of duty on Memorial Day when investigating a burglary in the area.

The St. Louis Cardinals will face off against the Houston Astros at 7:15 p.m. at Busch Stadium Sept. 19.
