We are glad that he is retiring. Chief Karabas ignored our call for just a police report for a stolen package by the perpetrator's grown daughter of child abuse to our 4 children. IT took 8 months to just get a police report which Sgt. Biermann never brought her in for questioning allowing the statute to expire. Unfortuntately, Chief Karabas didn't think it was important either. He told us "What do you want me to do about it?" This department is very negligent toward criminal investigations and didn't even do an investigation for substantiated child abuse to 4 children over a 4 year period verified by the pediatrician, psychologist, forensic psychiatrist, special education records. No interviews done, the doctor never called,no police reports for any of these crimes. The publice needs to know this and the Police MUST be held accountable and do their jobs. Our children have life-long injuries and the police just ignored and swept all this under the rug despited and laughed about what was done to our family.
