A Florissant man suffered moderate injuries Friday night in a car accident on Interstate 270 eastbound, just east of the West Florissant exit.

A freightliner hit the back of a 2004 Ford F650 driven by Mitchell Phillip, 35 of Florissant, Friday when the truck slowed down, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol report.

The accident actually was when the 18 wheeler ran into the back of the Ford Tow truck. I saw this accident when driving Friday night. I'm amazed no one was killed. The tow truck went over the guard rail and the semi was sliced down the middle by the guard rail.
