Florissant Man Robbed Victim At Gunpoint, County Police Say

Police said he had an accomplice in the robbery in unincorporated North County.

A Florissant resident faces criminal charges after St. Louis County Police said he and an accomplice robbed a man at gunpoint last week.

James T. Poe, 34, of the 900 block of Wooden Drive in Florissant, was charged Wednesday with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.

St. Louis County Police said that Poe and another man pointed a black, semi-automatic handgun at the victim, reached into his pocket and took his wallet at about 1:20 p.m. Aug. 9 at 1555 Larimore Parkway in North County just north of Bellefontaine Neighbors. The wallet contained cash and credit cards.

Bond for Poe was set at $75,000 cash only.

Don't worry! After his trial Poe will, in all likelihood, receive probation and be back out on the street. Sure wish the Patch would publish the names of these judges who hand out such ridiculous sentences. Likewise, print the names of those judges who actually mete out justice.

Innocent until proven guilty - the report does not state anything about they found the weapon or if the person who he "supposedly robbed" testified and picked out Mr. Poe as the one whom did this crime.

So glad we had a big influx of fine upstanding citizens to Florissant thanks to Lowery doing commercials. People don't just happen to be walking around with a semi automatic.

Do you think the guy own his own home? Does he live in a rental property or posibly section 8 housing. If home values don't start rising, I feel a lot of neighborhoods are going to fall victim to slum lords.

@Dan o what does being on section8 or low income housing have to do with anything. Not all people are bad just because they're getting government assistance. I wonder what you woild say if he did have a good job owned his home had a nice car was an upstanding citizen and this happen. Since you only think poor people are capable of this. It's called white collar crime i believe.

Florissant used to be so nice when I moved here 10 years ago to get away from the riff raff. NOW it's following me and I DO NOT LIKE IT! All SHADES of criminals are making their way here!
