Man Gets 17 Years for Sodomizing 11-Year-Old Girl

Derrick Wilson was sentenced to prison Friday on two counts of statutory sodomy and one count of child molestation.

A Florissant man was sentenced Friday to 17 years in prison for sexually assaulting his then girlfriend’s daughter.

Derrick Wilson, 30, of Florissant, was sentenced to 17 years in prison for each of two counts of statutory sodomy and to 10 years in prison for child molestation. The sentences will run concurrently.

Judge Michael D. Burton sentenced Wilson Friday in St. Louis County Circuit Court. A jury on Feb. 27 found Wilson guilty on all three charges.

St. Louis County prosecutors said Wilson sexually touched a girl, who was 11 years old at the time, on three occasions between April 13, 2010 and Sept. 19, 2010. Wilson will be subject to lifetime supervision as a sex offender.

On Sept. 19, 2010, the girl’s older sister witnessed Wilson touch the victim’s vagina. Wilson was charged with the crime the following day.
