Florissant Hosts Second Electronics Recycling Drive for 2012

Residents can bring their electronics and appliances big and small Saturday to be recycled.

 

Saturday, Florissant residents have a second opportunity to recycle their electronic goods as the city hosts another electronics recycling drive.

From 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., members of MERS Goodwill will assist residents in recycling their electronics in St. Ferdinand Park.

Residents must have their Florissant residency card, a utility bill or a driver’s license in order to participate in the collection.

Acceptable items to be donated, include:

  • Computers and/or computer accessories
  • Networking and telecommunications equipment
  • Cell or home phones
  • Clocks
  • Televisions
  • VCRs or DVD players
  • Stereos
  • A/V Equipment
  • Home electronics and appliances

 A receipt can be requested by residents to use for tax deduction purposes. For questions or more information, call the Florissant Health Department at 314-839-7655.
