Florissant Community Continues to Rally Around Officer Mike Vernon
The Florissant officer who was shot on Memorial Day has a number of fundraisers planned in his honor this month.
While Florissant Officer Mike Vernon continues his recovery, the community continues to band around him and his family in their time of need with a number of fundraisers.
Saturday, Florissant Firefighters Community Outreach will host a trivia night at the Florissant Elks Lodge at 6 p.m. The cost is $20 per person or $160 for a table of eight. Residents can bring in food and snacks and a cash bar will be made available. An auction and 50/50 drawing will also be held.

The Florissant Police Department continues to sell Cardinals baseball tickets for $25 for “Mike Vernon Night at the Ballpark” on Sept. 19. For more information on the tickets, call Andy Haarmann at 314-831-7000.
