Firestone Moves Down the Street, Opens New Location in Florissant
The new Firestone location adds more jobs and more space to the auto repair shop.
After more than 30 years of sitting near the intersection of North Highway 67 and New Halls Ferry Road, Firestone has moved to a bigger location down the street on Lindbergh.
Friday morning, officials, residents and customers piled into the new lot at 8400 N. Lindbergh Blvd. for back-to-back ribbon cuttings and the grand opening of the store.
It's the second Firestone grand opening in St. Louis this year, according to the district manager.
Ward 3 Councilman Joe Eagan spoke on behalf of Mayor Tom Schneider, who was unable to attend due to other obligations.
"We are very pleased to have them not only in City of Florissant but specifically in Ward 3," Eagan said. "As we continue to open new developments and make the city more beautiful and viable as we go into future decades.
Manager Travis Boyer who worked at the previous Firestone said he was happy with the turnout and the new location. He also said, the new location added four new jobs to the facility.
The new Firestone is open Monday-Saturday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sundays, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
