Russ Carnahan Filing to Run in Clay's District
Politico reports both men will run in the 1st District.

Rep. Russ Carnahan has filed to run for reelection in the 1st Congressional District. Carnahan currently represents the 3rd District.
The 1st Congressional District, which includes University City and Florissant, is represented by Rep. William Lacy Clay. Clay also has indicated he will run for reelection.
According to Politico, Carnahan decided to run in the 1st District after it became clear that his 3rd District was being reconfigured to lean Republican.
The two men will have to face off in a Democratic primary.
Carnahan will address the media at 10:45 a.m. at St. Louis Lambert International Airport. Patch will have an update following his remarks.
