Teen Charged with Setting Vehicle Fires in Paddock Hills
Three of the fires were set last week, and all were set in the same subdivision.
An 18-year-old man was charged Thursday with setting fire to three vehicles and a clothing storage box in Florissant's Paddock Hills subdivision.
Khadeem Ratcliff, who also lives in the Paddock Hills subdivision, faces four counts of knowingly burning or exploding, class D felonies, in St. Louis County Circuit Court.
In a court document, Florissant Police said Ratcliff set fire to:
- A gray, 1991 Chevrolet van in the 1600 block of Gallop Lane on April 25;
- A red, 2010 Ford pickup truck in the 1800 block of Banstead Drive June 4;
- A clothing storage box owned by the Salvation Army in the Paddock Hills Plaza shopping center Wednesday;
- A gold, 1998 Toyota car in the 2400 block of Stirrup Lane Wednesday.
Police said in the report that Ratcliff admitted setting the fires.
Bond was set at $20,000.
