The 5K Walk/Run for Juvenile Diabetes held in Florissant in September proved highly successful as $10,000 was raised. More than 175 people participated in the walk/run and all funds contributed to furthering juvenile diabetes research. Mayor Robert G. Lowery co-chaired the event, and he has promised another walk/run for next year.
