Hazelwood School District staff members donate more than 2,000 Food Items to The Emergency Assistance Ministry
Hazelwood School District employees donated more than 2,000 food items to The Emergency Assistance Ministry (TEAM) Food Pantry in Florissant. TEAM Food Pantry is a volunteer organization that provides supplemental food and basic household items to needy families once a month. Its mission is to serve the poor and hungry in the Florissant and Hazelwood areas.
Employees donated boxed or bagged foods, canned soups, canned meat and seafood, canned pasta, large jars of pasta sauce, pork and beans, tomato products, green beans and jars of peanut butter and jelly and other items.
Earlier this year, HSD employees contributed more than $1,700 to the Joplin Schools Bright Futures Fund to help teachers and students start the school year with supplies after the devastating tornado on May 22.
